GLENIFFER: 1929 Classic Kauri Bridgedecker

Description

Bailey and Sons are famous for both the attractive, sea-worthy lines of their designs, and the durability of their builds.  Gleniffer, named after her original power plant brand, is one of their larger boats, and when aged in her 80’s was motored from Auckland to the South Island where she has been used as a liveaboard and adventurer by her current owner.

Now in need of a refresh, Gleniffer presents as an opportunity to be returned to her original condition, or continue service as a liveaboard in Golden Bay.

Features include:  huge, spacious, light and bright saloon; ideal liveaboard arrangement with forward and aft cabins; large galley work area and bench space; carvel planked kauri ; D Series 6 cylinder Ford (starts and runs well); near-new house and cranking batteries; economical cruising (less than 1.0l/NM).  LOA approx. 12.0m; displacement approx. 10t.

Currently located in Port Tarakohe near Takaka, her swing mooring is transferable on her sale, and re-instatement of her prior marina liveaboard status is believed possible.
