MORNING STAR: Refitted Classic Spray 42

Description

Professionally built in South Africa in 1984 of C-flex solid fiberglass, Morning Star’s current owner has spared no expense in recently refitting her to a high standard, making her a superb extended duration cruiser, or comfortable liveaboard with classic styling.

From a Bruce Roberts design inspired by Joshua Slocum’s famous “Spray”, she won’t set any speed records, but she has proven herself in extreme conditions. 47 ft LOA, she’s extremely beamy and stable, with saloon and cockpit space to spare, and both forward and aft double cabins have ensuites.

Her prior owner purchased her in Fiji and sailed her solo to NZ. Features include: full repaint, new dodger, skin fittings, and Raymarine autohelm/radar/chart plotter unit; fully checked and serviced 60hp BMC Tempest diesel; approx. 500W solar capacity; new Dickinson diesel cabin heater/stove/oven + microwave; new electric heads with holding tanks; new custom mattress in master cabin.

The current owner has purchased his next project, and is keen to pass Morning Star onto her next proud owner. Her 15m Nelson Marina berth is transferable.
